Created with Padlet

Padlet

Students post required information, in the form of a Piktochart they create (see next resource) and post on the Padlet posting. An alternate assignment would be for a student to create his or her own Padlet, then have parents, grandparents, or other relatives post about their experiences that are like or unlike Esperanza's
Esperanza Padlet

Piktochart

Students sign in to Piktochart using their school Google account. In Piktochart, each student will create an Infographic to post and share on the Esperanza Padlet above.

Google Hangouts For Education

Through this Google+ Community, Google Hangouts in Education, a teacher can search for other classrooms to create a Google Hangout. The Hangout could be with another class reading the book, a library in the area that Esperanza traveled, or adult who had experiences coming to America as an immigrant.
